Brand Design, Adobe Ilustrator, Photoshop, Canva

This was a complete brand refresh for my own personal brand, so I let myself have some fun with it. What started as a simple plan to tighten up the lettering in my original logo turned into something else entirely.

The inspiration came from my own window in Mexico City, raindrops hanging off the electrical wires just after a storm.

I began, as I always do, with quick sketches. I knew I wanted this version to feel more like me, more fun, more ambitious, so I custom-designed the type. Between the sketches and playing around in Adobe Illustrator, I landed on wanting the mark to glimmer.

From there, I moved into color. My signature lime green has always been pulled from my cat’s eyes, so I refined that shade and added warmth alongside a cobalt blue inspired by Frida Kahlo’s house, where my profile photo was taken.

I animated the final version in Canva, and also created a second variation with added shine, the effect of a wet, black surface catching light from a street lamp, using light play in Photoshop.
